Face FX – A Successful Day of Photographing Models
We had a huge Face FX event here at KRR Photography’s studio this past weekend. Face FX is a division of KRR Photography which focuses on models and actors publicity. At the FACE FX event, May 5th and 6th we had two full days of photographing a diverse group of models and actors including Miss Teen DC International and Mrs Maryland. Face FX is an affordable way for actors and models to get professional head shots. Each model/actor had a designated time slot which made each session go smoothly. To maximize studio time and keep the price affordable one model was finishing up a photo session while another was in the dressing room doing hair and make-up. Each model had camera time outside as well as in the studio in front of the lights on a white seamless back drop for a variety of full-body and close-up photos to choose from.KRR holds FFX twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall. Plan ahead for the fall, these sessions tend to book-up very early.

Sheriff’s Deputy of the Year
Having been in business for over 20 years we are fortunate enough to see some of our clients grow throughout the years. Last night we photographed Deputy Dave Garcia as he achieved the Sheriff’s Deputy of the Year Award at the Celebrate Community Awards 2012. We have been photographing Dave almost as long as we’ve been in business. It has been an honor to see him achieve so much in his career and it is our pleasure to be able to capture these moments as he achieves recognition as a public service official.
Public Safety Award
Deputies Joseph Dillon and Dave Garcia are currently assigned to the Operations Bureau of the Sheriff’s Office. Their Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the service of both criminal and civil warrants, criminal summonses and domestic violence orders in Anne Arundel County. On November 5, 2011, Deputies Dillon and Garcia transported a prisoner to Anne Arundel County Police Western Distract for processing. Once the processing was completed, the prisoner was taken to the holding cell area where Deputy Garcia observed another prisoner in need of immediate medical attention. He instructed the booking officer to call EMS and summoned Deputy Dillon for assistance. Through quick action and cooperation, the two Deputies successfully gained access to the cell and began life saving measures by using the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and two person Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) until EMS personnel arrived. This is just one of the many examples of Deputies Dillon and Garcia’s commitment to the Sheriff’s Office, Deputies Dillon and Garcia freely give back to the community through their involvement with the volunteer fire service and Special Olympics. Deputies Dillon and Garcia are integral members of the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office and an asset to the citizens of Anne Arundel County.

Abused & Neglected Children Have a Brighter Future
As photographers we have an awesome responsibility to capture the images of life. In every photograph we take of a child, there is a fragile image of hope and trust with a glimpse of the future.
As a community it is our responsibility to ensure that this fragile image of hope and trust becomes a strong and enduring reality. This is why we at KRR compassionately support the efforts of Anne Arundel County CASA.
We hope that you can make this worthwhile event below and check out their site by clicking here http://www.aacasa.org for further information on how you can help or sign up for the event.

7PM-11PM Loews Annapolis Hotel
On November 5, 2011, Anne Arundel County CASA, Inc. will celebrate 14 years of service to abused and neglected children with An Evening in CASAblanca. This year’s gala will be held at the Loews Annapolis Hotel from 7PM to 11PM. Guests will enjoy an elegant evening of dining and dancing. Tickets are $150 per person. The honorees for this year’s Gala are:
- Community Leadership Award: Rotary Club of Annapolis
- Corporate Commitment Award: TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS)
- CASA Caring Heart Award: Robert G. Wallace
Last year’s annual event was successful in large part due to the support of CASA’s corporate sponsors. We were able to use 100% of the funds raised for recruiting, training and supervising new CASA volunteers who provided a voice for the most vulnerable members of our community. Without CASA’s intervention, these children face the possibility of languishing in foster care. YOU and CASA can make it possible for many of these children to have a chance at a brighter future.
